The Motivation of Employees in High-tech Company
Šmedek, Martin ; Obhlídal, Karel (referee) ; Rašticová, Martina (advisor)
The aim of my bachelor thesis is to analyze the values of the selected group of employees in high-tech company. The other partial aims were to analyze motivation preferences of employees and also analyze employee’s attitude towards the company. The analysis was based on two question-forms, Hofsteda VSM 94 and question-form asking about motivation preferences. I have found out from these analyses that the environment is quite stressful, employees are big individualists and long-term orientation is dominating there. The most valuable benefits for employees are: paid holiday, education and health care contribution. The work, this selected group was doing was rated as well paid and their work satisfies them. As a suggestion it could be recommended to offer more days of holiday, education contribution and expansion of team cooperation on their work place. This could help to the company to achieve increased efficiency of employee’s performance

The diploma thesis is about the current problem of the lack of nurses, in particular general, children and practical nurses in the environment of the Czech health care. In the introduction of the theoretical part, there is an overall view of the current lack of workers in these professions and the consequences that this deficit brings to the Czech hospitals. Furthermore, the theoretical part is about several topics that are generally identified as causes of the lack of interest in this profession due to the lack of nurses. These are especially the issues of education of nurses, salaries and also the prestige of a nurse's profession. The area of competence in nursing professions is elaborated as a supplement chapter, to the overall view of current issues. The empirical part includes eleven interviews with nurses in senior positions (ward and head nurses in hospitals), the topics of which are processed in the theoretical part. The interviews were processed as thematic analysis with the help of open coding. Particularly, data obtained from a discussion group of nurses on social networks was used to illustrate the situation. The final part of the thesis contains the evaluation of the interviews, the answers to the research questions, the comparison of the opinions of the respondents with the publicly...

Nulíčková, Lucie ; Pavlík, Petr (advisor) ; Kobová, Ĺubica (referee)
This diploma thesis called Men's motivation to remaining in the teaching profession at primary school is about men - teachers at the Czech primary schools. The main goal is to analyse the motivation to staying in the teaching profession on the basis of twelve semi-structured interviews with teachers from different primary schools. In general, the teaching profession is not so atractive for men - it is traditionally associated with lower salary, not too high prestige in society and also because the teaching profession is often called "female job". The feminization of Czech education is another big theme of this thesis. In relation to this phenomenon, possible causes, consequences and strategies, that could attract more men to the field of education and would change the actual situation, are discussed. Key words: teacher, primary school, motivation, profession, salary, prestige, feminization, strategies
